Be it the Taj Mahal or the Statue of Liberty the prominent landmarks have always been an aspect of curiosity. The finesse in architecture, the idea of making such monument, that etched a unique spot in the history, being a living representation of its creators have amazed us.
But what if, these are recreated? An actual replica of the awed architecture but is situated at a different place? Here is the list of 5 such bizarre but actual recreation of the world famous monuments.
1. The Statue of Liberty-Birmingham, Alabama
We all know the Statue of Liberty is situated in New York city of the United States. The Statue of Liberty at Alabama is a 36-foot-tall statue made of bronze, at 1/5th size of the original statue. Erected earlier on Liberty National Life Insurance Building in 1958, was moved to Liberty Park in 1988.
Foamhenge-Natural Bridge, Virginia
So y'all have heard Stonehenge. Now what is this Foamhenge? And where is it located?
Stonehenge is a pre-historic monument located in Salisbury, England. Stonehenge has an outer ring made of sarscen standing stones, each around 13 foot high, connected by horizontal lintel stones on top.
On the other side, is the Foamhenge, which is a styrofoam replica of Stonehenge. Built by an artist named Mark Claine on a roadside just to attract people in 2004, gained public attention and was recognized as a representation of Stonehenge. It was then moved to Centrevillie, Virginia in 2017.
The Taj Mahal-Sonargaon, Bangladesh
Taj Mahal is one irreplacable, inevitable symbol of love, that has attracted people over they years from every nook and corner of the country for the calming vision. The story behind the white mausoleum is yet another reason for people visiting the place.
But what if we say, Bangladesh also has one such love symbol?
Located in Sonargaon, Narayanganj, this imitation of Taj Mahal was constructed between 2003 and 2008 at an estimate of $58 million and opened for public in 2009. A copyright infringement concern was expressed by the Indian High Commission, although the replica did not completely have the finesse of the original.
Christ the King-Lisban, Portugal
This replica has an interesting story spinned behind. Reportedly, the Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon visited the actual Christ the King Statue in Rio de Janeiro. Amazed by the statue that "overlooked" the city, he sought permission from the authoritarian President of Portugal to recreate it.

Eiffel tower, Shenzhen, China

Built inside the Shnezen theme park, this tower is 108-foot tall, which was built in 2007. However, the experts state that there is an "aesthetic problem " in the constructed tower, that is not visible to the naked eye
